Call for Presentations and Tutorials is now closed.

Thank you to everyone who submitted to the AusCERT2015 Call for Presentations and Tutorials. We received 131 submissions. The AusCERT2015 Program Committee will be busy now reviewing all of the submissions. 

Once the review process is completed, those who submitted an abstract will be notified of the outcome of their submission. 

AusCERT looks forward to another excellent program for AusCERT2015 and hopes to see you there!

Presentation Submission

The AusCERT2015 Program Committee welcomes original contributions for presentations not previously published nor submitted in parallel for publication to any other conference or workshop. 

Submissions may fall under one of the following broad categories:

  • Securing Applications
  • Network Security
  • Privacy and Surveillance
  • Cybercrime
  • Embedded
  • Incident Response and Handling
  • Industrial Control Systems (SCADA)
  • Governance, Risk Management and Compliance
  • Psychology of infosec
  • Information Security Innovation

Presentation summaries should be up to a maximum of 2 pages. Submissions will only be considered if they provide a clear idea of the presentation content, key points to be covered during the presentation and are followed by the PowerPoint presentation at a later date.Your detailed submissions for AusCERT2015 need to be made prior to the Call for Presentations close on the 18th January 2015.

By popular request, AusCERT has extended the Call for Presentations and Tutorials date by one week only. The extension is until 18th January, 2015. 

Please take note of your time zone as errors in calculating will not result in an extension.

All presentations and tutorial submissions will be handled electronically.

NOTE: Submissions made by people other than a presenter/author will not be accepted, unless prior arrangements have been made.

Submissions promoting specific products or services will not be considered nor accepted.

AusCERT2015 requires a non-exclusive copyright license for all presentations at the conference and for the presentation material. This includes potential distribution on a conference USB stick and the conference website.

Presentation Selection

The AusCERT2015 Program Committee will independently select all topics and speakers based on the quality of presentations. Acceptance of these submissions is at the discretion of the Program Committee which has the right to refuse any submission. The Program Committee's decisions are final.

Assistance for selected speakers

AusCERT is able to assist in covering the travel and accommodation costs for one speaker per successful submission. The standard offer includes:

  • Return economy class airfares
  • Accommodation at the five star RACV Royal Pines Resort (3 nights for international speakers or 2 nights for domestic speakers)
  • Free registration to the three day conference (not including tutorial sessions)
  • Entitlements are for one speaker per presentation only. You are welcome to bring multiple presenters at your own cost.
